AQGS metal glow plug thermal characteristics are superior to QGS double coil glow plugs or SRM glow plugs. The rapid temperature rise exhibited by these plugs after the ignition is energised, helps achieve engine stating characteristics not possible with conventional glow plugs. Even after rapid temperature rise, the PWM control system maintains temperature for long-term post-glow capability similar to SRM glow plugs, helping to reduce engine emissions.
